Oh dang. Hopefully that person gets what’s coming to them. I don’t get why people think it’s ok to do this kind of stuff.

There are no shortage of losers like this who think nothing of taking advantage of another and stealing money for themselves, profiting off of someone else's misfortune.

I feel bad for the people who fall for these scams 😞

Unfortunately, someone learned that furries are really easy marks where art is concerned and is targeting YCH bidders. He contacted me and I've seen it from several other artists and friends, too. Some people have no shame.

Yeah it sucks, I just hope that people get the information and don't fall for scammers like this.

i find it very weird and uncomfortable that random people I never interacted with, DM me an auction. Unless I know you that well, an artist would never DM you public auctions...

Yep, that is the first thing to keep an eye out. Also their weird insistence to use the friends&family option when sending the money through telegram. I never do this, I always send an invoice because of taxes.

That's not a solution. The scammer tried it here on FA first, there are also scammers on others sites like youtube. The solution can not be to not use the site, but to warn and educate people to look out for red flags and methods scammers are using.

Oh, okay. I actually fell for a scam on Discord before but I luckily got my account back. Thanks for the information too! I'll be aware of scam messages on any platform

Jeez... What a lowlife that has to scam people using your likeness... I was once scammed and hacked on discord during that "false report refund scam".. it was scary..
