A bit of an update: Our power went out at 2pm before the rain even started. After it made landfall the winds have been nonstop whipping and whistling since then. Probably some of the harshest winds ive heard in my life in brandon florida, ive been through so many since Ive been in fl my whole life. But this one scares me.

Its been so dark outside and im really worried about how this state will look after such disaster. My friends have all had their power go out, trees snapping in their backyards, flooding through their front doors, their fence breaking apart and slamming into their homes, our fence is snapping apart, the slamming of who knows what is constant, i heard the cracks of multiple trees fall, power lines turning into the fourth of july… We have all been here since birth and have not had this happen to us before. Not like this, not where we are.

No idea when we will have power again, theres half a million people without power right now and unfortunately plenty more where that came from.

I REALLY truly hope the coast is okay. There are so many people I know out there that didnt evacuate and im worried sick. This is one for the history books and its only halfway across the state.
