I saw, I came, it conquered

OH MURRRRRRRR
So like. I actually went and saw Avatar. This big several-hundred-million-dollar-wank-fest.
It was... Pretty good, though I couldn't help just think "I see you, give me a hug" which kinda sucked all the romance written into it.
Overall it was pretty amazing however, the special effects budget coming close to paying its monumental bill. (High praise, believe me)
The artists managed to paint the land of Pandora in painstaking photoquality. The animals while occasionally breaking this surreal landscape due to their overly glossy bodies were more then balanced by the stunning facial/body animations and designs of the Na'vi which were simply stunning.
The story was (As >9k people have said before this) quite similar to that of Dances With Wolves, however that doesn't degrade the masterful telling of this story, which has been taking place as soon as one civilisation became more 'advanced' then any other.
So yeah, go see it. A decent way to spend 3 hours.
The Vault awaits you on planet Pandora... o.o

Also don't get the romance part.
