I'm straight up deleting my art from there, I don't want it to be used to train AI

I don't personally have an issue with AI art, but the fact that you can't opt out of that is rather ridiculous.

I had issues with the site even pre Musky, because of it's surveillance capitalism model, the fact that it's a crappy place for art, and other things, but he's just pouring rocket fuel on the dumpster fire.

it just feels depressing to lose that control over it, and the fact the AI training has been on by default is also sort of silly cause not many people bother to check

It's just stupid. I wonder how many people will flee now expressly because of these new policies? The Elongated Muskrat is just cutting off this nose to spite his face.

My Journals listing is currently flooded with people moving to Blesky.

I mean I noticed that the site got like half a mil new members just following that policy release so it's very possible most artists will just pack their bags and leave

but it's also difficult to leave a big following behind and start fresh, like i have over 4k followers and it'll take a while before I'm at that number again on a new site

Oh, definitely. A lot of artists depend on Xitter for traffic and comms despite its obvious shortcomings.
