I play around a lot with AI, but i’m not very good at it.(I haven’t made anything that i felt was good enough to post), and i honestly feel like a big part of that is the fact that AI “Art” just isn’t very good.
No matter how advanced AI gets, i don’t believe it will ever be good enough to replace real artist.
That said, i do think AI has its places.
Like how i LOVE the fact that AI is replacing Anime Localizers. I know they’re bitching and bawling around about it “AI TOOK MY JOB!”, but lets not get it twisted. Being an activist and changing the dialogue to include political propaganda was NEVER a part of the job.
Most of the people here are artist, so let me put forward a hypothetical for you.
Lets say you made a comic, now lets say i take that comic, deleted all your dialogue and changed it to tell the story I wanted your comic to tell rather than the story YOU wanted YOUR comic to tell… you would be pretty upset if i took your strong female lead Character and made her say a bunch of pro-life pro-patriarchy stuff, right?
And you would be right to be upset because that would be an act of vandalism.
THAT is what these people did. Not just basically but sometimes literally when talking about Manga.
these woke Localizers were acting like sneaky entitled little bitches, they did a bad job, and they got what they fucking deserved.
