Not too sure why it started. I know Dragoneer was into it, after he passed now it seems the moderation team is keen to crack down on it. NSFW cub was already banned but now they're expanding to everything from minors in any mature situation (doesn't have to be sexual) to characters suffering for physical/mental age regression.

Staff didn't make any announcements and a few people caught bans last month. FA Twitter made a vague statement saying they're unaware why these bans were issued and are investigating the issue. They just recently made a new post following this 2.7 rules revision and aren't answering any questions regarding the changes or statements they have made.

All I know is what you've mentioned. It seems as though someone or maybe some group of people took it upon themselves to start filing tickets.

Due to the opacity of the decision making of the admins (Which makes sense on a certain level) it's impossible to really know much.

One of the admins when Dragoneer passed went on a rampage and banned several artists if not did suspensions with little to no warning. A few artists tried to figure out why they got hit and ended up being insulted/mocked on FA's discord by said mods. Seems like the puritans are doing a purge. They even made a gaslighting "rule update" as if to talk down to everyone

This sounds like a more complete story, I don't doubt that now that big boss is out of the game there will be more purges like that.

Agreed. Also beware the youtubers that do drama dives and 'expose' people. I'm sure it's happening.
