Do you use any apps to help with multi-site posting? There's PostyBirb which helps significantly with it. You also don't need to make the same posts for all the sites, you can alter the different posts all in the one app, makes things way easier :)

You can turn off the automatic signature in the settings, it's on by default. I have it turned off.
It's very easy to use, you just login to the sites in the app (It doesn't save the logins, it just uses browser cookies/sessions). Then when you make a post, you put the file into the app. You can then set defaults for tags, description, rating, etc, which will be used for all sites. You can set an override for each individual site you ask it to post to, which will set things specifically for that site.

It also has macros to make linking other accounts and stuff easier for the various sites :)
