HALP!!! - Illustrator Problems

People! I need your help. T.T My Adobe Illustrator won't work! *weeps*
Every time I open the program and start a file, about a minute or two after it says "Adobe Illustrator CS3 has stopped working" and then promptly closes. ~_~ I have art to do!!! T__T I tried reinstalling, thought it worked, and then it happened again. *sigh* It's so annoying.

I don't own Illustrator, so I can't help. Usually it's the flash player you have to update, and that's just my thought.
