There may be hope...

While Trump is expected to win right now, there's still hope that somewhere, the democratic voters are still left to be tallied. I think the same thing happens when we have to elect Joe Biden over Trump. Let me know if there's a correction of my post.

But the only other option left is the house for the dems. That's about it.
We have three branches of gov't and they are designed to balance each other out. A president may seem super powerful, but they are not the single most powerful figure in our election. They are not the same thing as a monarch and despite what people like to think; should not be mistaken for one.
In fact the reason why we pass laws the way we do, is so if someone tries to pass a shitty law (like censorship) and one group or house does not agree, that bill has a chance of being struck down, or if it manages to somehow pass both the house and senate, the president can veto it and prevent it from happening, and if THAT somehow passes, the Supreme Court is the last line of defense against said unjust law which can be thrown out if it's proven to be unconstitutional.
however this works best when our elected officials actually keep the constitution in mind.
Most I can say is; just do your best to get through life. I think we'll be ok.
Plus I should mention this: If the Supreme court disagrees with anything congress tries to pass, they can just take it to court and strike it down. Yes I'm aware of the make up of the court, but being constitutionally minded is what matters most.
