I voted Dem. I would've gone even more socialist if that were a practical, realistic option, but this electoral system is a joke.
More to the point, if you voted for the rotten carrot...then fuck you, and I don't want to hear another word from someone who'd support the loon who has, demonstrably, made life worse for me, my friends, and my community through fascist hate. Go rot.

This all sucks. All of it. I'm so tired of the fighting. Feeling like there's no way to to be understood, no way to explain how bad we feel. So many friendships will be lost over this, and so many people will be hurt. It sucks.
At this point, I don't see a way out except total collapse. Americans are so self-deluded and detached from reality (mostly on the right but increasingly on the center-right too, I won't pretend this country has any kind of actual left; Democrats are milquetoast conservatives at best) that the only thing likely to break them out is pain. A lot of pain.
It's just a shame the rest of us have to suffer along with the rest of them.
As for Harris' loss, it doesn't take a genius to know that "voting blue no matter who" is not a good strategy in the long run. It barely worked in 2020 despite how divided democrats were with supporting Biden, and now this move proved to be an even worse mistake in the new election. Harris was already the least popular democrat candidate before Biden dropped out at the most opportune time to let her have a lead. And instead of pointing out all of her past controversies that made her the least popular democrat runner in the last couple of years, the media and most people decided to scrub it off, pretend it didn't happen, and just spite-vote for Harris. Say what you want about the USA's republicans, but at least they know what they were voting for. Trump had clear policies to offer in his rallies to his thousands of supporters, which is more that could be said about Harris herself who could barely string words together and say things that could vaguely be considered as "policies", which she constantly flipped flopped on. It's a lost cause when all you can say about your leading candidate is that she's not Trump.
And that is why Trump won by a landslide on this election. Accept it or keep living in that delusional state of mind. Most of the stuff that people on the left have been paranoid about with Trump's victory is probably not gonna happen, and trying to constantly lie and stretch the truth about him and his supporters is only going to make sane democrats disillusioned with the party, which in turn will lead to more republican victories in the future.
That's all I have to say. I rarely like to talk about politics myself, but my God is it tiring to see this much insanity occurring within the furry fandom and I just couldn't hold it in any longer.
