Short On Money: Commissions are Open
BIG IMPORTANT EDIT @ 3/1/25: The big crisis that started this journal is over. BUT that doesn't mean I've stopped taking commissions! I'm keeping the information below for now because I need to rewrite it later, and I'm a bit focused on other things at the moment.

Hey everyone! So long story short: My expenses for the month came in way more than expected, and whilst I have the money to cover rent, I don't have the money to cover food in about a week's time. So, I'm going to have to work for it.
This means that my commissions are extremely open (all prices listed in USD).
Historically I've operated on a PWYW basis - and that is still true. Still, to offer a guideline for roughly what I've been paid in the past, I shall provide some examples in this journal for what might be a suggested price based on what I've been paid in the past as guidance.
The below submissions are artworks done as an ink-and-colour and/or pixel art job done over an existing picture (ie. linework done by a separate artist at minimum). The price range this sort of thing over the past 15 years has usually gone for is around $15-30, but I'm flexible on the margins of going lower, and have done so before.

When acting as the colourist/pixel artist over an existing picture, I really prefer the original lineartist is in on it, is fully consenting, and also has veto powers over the final result, this not being fulfilled is extremely disrespectful toward the original lineartist, to say the very least.
I can also attempt to do artwork for you where I have done everything 100% solo from scratch, including my own linework, but I can't guarantee an end result that you may desire. This also takes additional time, and I have a bit of a reputation for being a slow solo artist. Doing requests and commissions of 100% solo things before has required extensive study on my part.
The below commission is an example of me doing this, and the price guideline is around $25-40, but again extremely flexible on this.

I'd really really appreciate the assistance. I do feel an element of humiliation putting this call for help out. Especially since I know I'll be in a much healthier situation fiscally come December. But now isn't December, and right now I'm a teensy bit fucked.
EDIT: There is now a commission queue! This should cover me for now. But commissions are still open for now regardless.
