33rd time is the charm
WOW HELLO! I have not forgotten about this place, I promise. I've been meaning to come back and post some sort of update for like uhhhh the last 10 months lmao.
Things have been good! I finally finished commissions and it has honestly been life changing. It took some trial and error but I am learning to draw for myself again. I've mainly been doodling and sketching. I've finished a couple things. I don't feel quite ready to share yet, BUT SOON.
I'm going to be making a new account when I do return here (oops). Now that I am no longer doing any commissions I want the freshest of fresh starts. I'll keep you guys updated about that!
I've been learning a lot about myself in my 30s. Socializing ~5 days a week at work is tough for me, but I'm managing. (Maybe even adjusting?!) I'm learning how to preserve my social stamina and keep my guard up, while still being friendly. I'm also getting better at dealing with conflict and other peoples' anger (something that has always been hard for me). The downside is I don't have much social energy left for the internet lately, hopefully that'll change once the busy season at the warehouse is over!
I'm very excited for this NEW ERA of my life. Art is fun again and I am feeling so introspective and full of creative energy. I'm finding magic in art that I thought was lost forever.

FA+

Excited to see what this new stage in life brings for ya and hope things continue to get even better for ya!
Thank you! 💚
That's nice to hear you adjusted over time!! I know exactly what you mean, I DO feel like My social battery has gotten a little bigger.
I'm very eager to see what visions you come up with in your fresh start.
Wishing you the most fun art-feelings!
Thank you!! 💚
Sorry about my lateness!
I've been ok! I've just been suuuuper busy packing+shipping since it's that time of year.
Good timing because it's been art-burnout town for a while now and needed a brain-break.
Also if you ever wanna say hey, you have my email heheh!
Looking forward to seeing what kinda stuff you do when you're feeling creatively invigorated and able to make things for yourself!
But thank you!! I'm always happy to see you're still active here. I gotta get caught up and see what shenanigans your characters have been up to. 👁️
I'm very happy to hear you've found a good work-life balance there!
And thank you! Yep, still active--FA is still probably the best place for thoughtful comments and discussion I've found. Twitter sucked even before Muskification, Bluesky's promising but young, Tumblr is... decent? But still a little comment-light compared to FA. This place is cozy and never complains that something I've written is too long, hah.
