Anyways the main reason you don't see any literal furry characters (anthropomorphic characters from now on) walking around is that naturally it's just impossible hybrids are impossible in nature (keep in mind I'm not even legally an adult yet but I am smart so just take what I say with a grain of salt) because of a marker or something so basically your DNA has a part that says I'M A HUMAN and a wolf's DNA would have a part that says I'M A WOLF and so your body would reject the DNA because it's a wolf's DNA because the genetic marker says so (there may be a scientific word for what I'm calling a genetic marker but if there is I don't know it) but if you were to copy the DNA without the marker your body may accept the DNA and you could in theory change you biology however it works best when you replace the marker now as far as I know no-one has been able to replace a marker and we have barely been able to make DNA but in theory in the very much not so near future you could literally BE your fursona but things to remember are 1 it's a one way trip you're not coming back and if you're saying oh well Zeta but can't you just edit your DNA again well no you can't and I think it's really easy to see why but if you can't it's because your genetic stability will degrade and you will start to fall apart genetically and I mean that so unless you want some serious problems and some very not cool mutations (and I mean NOT COOL MUTATIONS) then go ahead but unless you want that remember it's a one way trip so if you still want to be able to be human some of the time wear a fursuit and 2 it takes a long time I mean YEARS if you're in puberty that'll shorten down a lot but for anyone else it'll take YEARS also it may not work on adults because you're body isn't growing so you need to do it in your teens while you're growing although I do believe most furries are teens (maybe I'm wrong) but that means you still have a chance and 3 tech so we are no-where near the tech needed for this plus it needs to be tested plus it needs to become cheap plus it needs to become a thing that the public can do and then there may be a while for safety stuff however you most likely want to know your choices by this point so 4 choices it can most likely do anything even hybrids or any furry fandom created species like the Avali or the Protogen's however with the Protogen's or anything else that needs tech unless you don't care about the functionality and just want the looks it's going to take DECADES maybe to get the tech however if you really want just look out for it and maybe you'll get it
