how i would use it like generate close enough stuff then go to artist and go somthing like this with this with this and pointing out parts on each reference sent. like getting paint for ahouse a white paint for one person could be completely different think there is like 30 versions of white paint or more out there XD. so instead of artist going 20 questions and going through pages and pencil so on guessing stuff can sort of show it better.

chances are if i went with words it be describe a generic race idea . then artist be like and then? over over and over lol But has been called thief and blocked by some when attempting this method of references

Then the ADHD of me on those generators is like opening pokemon cards or treasure chests in games whats going to show up with that word combination

The saving grace is that apparently there is a "Daily Limit" on how many times you can generate ... a good thing in the end probably or else the experimenting would go on for a while

Yeah that's where I think AI is quite useful. Can either get a bit more of an accurate idea you want that the artist can use as a reference or you can even use it to tinker with different possibilities. For me aside from the usual spank bank material I've used it for trying out different traits of my own character, different types of ears, more draconian features on the head, a tail spade, etc etc.

For conceptual work I prefer to leave that up to me, not so much the artist but again I've largely ceased commissioning and limit my support to friends these days.

Big time AND it can be fun because the AI is such a derp. You can get stuff of nightmares or you can get some really cool shit some of which I'll actually incorporate into a re-design of my character because the vibe was just right with it. From the artist side of things though you can train your own model on your own work and whip out concepts at crazy fast speeds while still maintaining your overall look. Saves time on the planning phase since you aren't doing scrapping/redraws.

Honest answer. They fed a LARGE amount of solo images into a program like SD and then did it over and over until one churned out images close enough to drayk.. trust me i followed a friend through the process because i was curious..

Just forcefed the shit out of it until it puked out something close enough..?

I just don't like how a lot of AI art is being used or done. Art theft, lack of creativity, lack of effort.
Putting a prompt in a generator, spewing out an image, and then claiming "I did that!" is not making art.

Oh agreed! I can see how it can be used as a tool though. But I don't think it should be used beyond that as its own individual product to benefit off of. Sadly alot of people probably do that.

Lex is more optimistic on the derp part. To me, the constant errors that crop up in AI "art" are very annoying.

I play around with AI image generators for my own amusement or to create a reference as an idea for a commission, I refuse to call it art or myself an artist, and I have created a LoRA of my own for my closed species that I'm working on (I've commissiond work for it in the past).

Honestly there is a lot of LoRAs depicting other peoples OCs or (attempting) replicating furry artists styles. I do attempting to bring them to the owners/artists attention when I come across them.

I got curious and searched for a popular OC on there and was quite surprised how many entries came up for them xD

The most popular model for furry stuff scraped e621 for tag data, so if you're tagged >100 times on there, it can probably recreate you pretty well.

Obviously personal opinion, but I think AI should remain in the industrial fields where it was built for, not in media or other types of digital or creative outlets like movies, animating, art, music, etc.

It's far too draining on an already stressed environment of resource(s) and using it for art has hurt the well-being of those who would more reasonably benefit from financial support for food and other livelihood necessity.

Of course, your character, your choice at the end of the day, but I'd avoid anything AI-related if you could help it, even if it's gag images or even used as a very basic "tool" for art. It has been built on the foundations of being a scam software system, and it continues to be such. The techbros can't train it without stealing things to feed into the algorithm to train it on.

Thus the statement I made of using what I saw to perhaps commission a few things. At the end of the day I can see how people might use it as a tool for curiosity. But yeah, let it be left as just that.

Yeah I looked at it and it looks uncanny sometimes, especially the more realistic style with the dragon horns. There's one that gives you a canine face. XD

That one in particular was quite interesting I thought.. some of the Facial Angles are hella good though from a camera perspective
