Too cheesy? Hehe...
This holiday season is particularly special for me, as it's the first time in some years that I've felt reason to celebrate. It's been just me for several years, so celebrating holidays was never a big deal for myself. And now, I have a husband, and some extended family... it's been lovely, and fun learning some new traditions. Hope and I visited a few Christmas markets over the season, Hope and his mother have been baking cookies left and right, and today we've been enjoying putting up our tree. Hope's been busy cooking while I've been writing a story for Patreon lol
I remember when I was little, I asked my mother to tell the truth about Santa... mainly because there's no way that Santa, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny all had her handwriting. And rather than say, oh, he's real, and give me the same backed-into-a-corner response that any parent would give their child in that moment, she told me the truth: Santa is real. But, no, he's not a person. Santa represents the spirit of the season. He represents joy, and love, and laughter. The brightness of a child's face as they unwrap a present. Snow forts and sled rides. Cool winter evening strolls. The crackle of the fireplace. Timeless traditions, and new beginnings. It doesn't matter which holiday you celebrate, the spirit of the season is real, now and forever always.
I hope the spirit of the season finds you. So much happened in 2024 that has changed my life for the better going forward. It makes me feel like a kid again. I'm excited to see where this journey goes, happy to have the peace of mind to indulge in my creative passions. That is the gift I've received, and the gift I share with you. I appreciate you all, and hope for the best now and for the future. 2025 is going to be a lot of fun! Have a great holiday season!
Cheers ~
