I didn't have a good Christmas this Tuesday...

Okay, so this happened on Christmas Eve this year. Keep in mind that time is in the central time zone.
Last week, my dad had to get surgery on his leg and knee replacement. He still had his leg and his knees but his legs, he couldn't lift that up because it felt heavy and he couldn't walk up fast. He had to use that folding rollator walker until he completely recovered. His leg is currently not feeling good and my dad wouldn't return to work until the end of March which is last year.
Okay so let's start the story of what happened on this Christmas Eve. I had to drop my mom off at work because my sister needed the truck because she had to go to work in the morning and I had to keep the other car because I had to take my dad to his health therapy appointment for his leg and knee which was at 8:45 in the morning.
I had on a shirt, jeans and shoes on and I was taking my jacket with me because it was cold outside in the morning. I was going to go to the bathroom to get ready but my dad went into the bathroom to get ready and he had only been in the bathroom until almost 8 am. At around 7:30 am, my mom called me to bring my two nieces from next door to our house at 8 am. She also told me that my dad and I must leave by 8:15. I went next door at 7:45 to wake up the girls and make sure they're ready to walk to our house. I brought them to our place at 8am straight and I can get back to getting my dad ready and bring him into the car. My dad told me off for leaving him in the house even when he needed help. I told him I had to wake the girls up, make sure they get ready to go to our house. He said that I could have let him know before I left the house.
So I had to help him fix his protective high heel socks before putting his socks over it as well as helping him slide his pants in and get in his shoes. While I was doing so, he checked my fingernails to see if they had grown longer or not. Mines weren't that long. I cut mine last week. And then, he looked down to the bottom of my jeans and my stringless shoes. one of the bottom ends of my pants weren’t rolled out and the tongue of my shoes weren't pulled out. I guess I was so fast at getting ready. I didn't know that until he pointed that out and called me out for it. I wasn't paying much attention really. He said “[my IRL nickname] look at how you look down there!? (that was when I realized I hadn't straightened them up earlier) You could have done better than that! You're too old for that!” This part, that really pissed me off like I didn't even think about checking myself earlier and I even forgot to do that… Too old? How am I too old for forgetting things so quickly or not even paying attention when I could have fixed it very quickly.
And when I was holding my dad's wallet and his phone, my dad saw his money sitting on the counter and then also called me out for not putting his money in his wallet. I thought he was going to pick it up and put it in his wallet… Honestly, I didn't think about it, really…
This is why I hate helping my dad even while my mom is at work… He pissed me off over stuff I could have fixed myself in any second. Of course leaving like that without checking yourself isn't a good thing but should he have gone far at reprimanding me? I rather stayed at home and sleeped… I just rather have my mom take some time off to take him to his leg therapy but she just couldn't take a day off unfortunately. I would have been happy if I had moved away from him….

Sorry to hear that. I know how hard it is to take care of our parents or other relatives, even if they're our loved ones
