Alas, a lot of bad and sad things happened this year. Of course, this happened in 2023, and in 2022, and in 2021, and even in 2020. But it was 2024 that was rich in sad and terrible events.
The year began with events in Baymak, a locality in the region where I live.
Then the main oppositionist died, whose name is too well known to mention.
Then the terrorist attack in Crocus City.
Then the flood in the Trans-Urals.
The bombing and occupation of the Kursk region.
Drone attack (and it even reached Kazan).
Fuel oil leak in the Sea of Azov.
Well, it all ended with a plane crash involving a plane from Azerbaijan. And this happened on Christmas.
The year was also known for the release of a failed game of Russian game development - Time of Troubles. It was expected that after the success of Atomic Heart, the domestic gaming industry would finally get back on its feet. But no way. Again, a lumpy mess. How much money was embezzled.
And of course, the YouTube blocking and the clumsy design of VK.
Also, this year was marked by the coldest May and the rainiest summer. Due to the fact that it snowed in May, the grapes in the village died. And due to the heavy rain that fell in June-August, the vegetables died. Especially potatoes and cabbage.
But... even though the year brought a lot of bad things. There were also positive aspects.
For example, this year I started to actively engage in creativity. I started to draw a lot. And this year I made much more drawings than in previous years. Of course, I still have a lot to learn in terms of drawing. But maybe the time will come when I will become the most famous artist according to Fur Affinity and DeviantArt. The main thing is to study and try.
Also this year I was officially employed. No, I had worked before, earned money. But it was not very serious. And here I officially became an employee. The pay is still very modest. But if I work well, the salary will be decent.
This year was also marked by the fact that the most mysterious song on the Internet (FEX - Subways of your mind) and the shortest song, which, as it turned out, was a soundtrack to an adult film, were found. Well, and other songs that were unidentified for a long time.
In general, the year brought both a lot of good and a lot of bad. Unfortunately, there is more bad. But let's hope that in the New Year there will be less bad.
