Do most of the people who commission you own the model to get retextures?

Yes, It's part of my TOS and most model TOS i can get in trouble if I break it.

I think it's that you do something very specific (Not sure If I say it correctly.) Maybe digital art/adoptables, can reach more peoples since it's more versatile in some way, not everyone wan't a 3D version of their character or I think maybe people can be more picky when it come to 3D artist.

My issue is mostly that I for more than 2 years get ghosted mid talk of commission last one was yesterday and honestly it just makes me feel I should just permanently close it.

While I like people engaging with my content it's not why I make them, I do get motivated by favs though.

I understand, but when peoples contact you, is there's a specific moment the conversation stop?
For exemple; it often happen that peoples contact me for a commission, they often vanish when I start to talk about payment and prices.
Do you feel like there's a moment they just decide to stop replying to you?

90% of the time it's before they even give me the info of what they want so I can't even give them a quote, like no ref no info on base model no info on anything they just vanish when I ask for that info.

Nope they never do so I have to ask, like I need to know model, artstyle and ref to know how much time it would take to even be able to give quotes.

Ok so here's something you can do; I did it and it helped; Somewhere on your page/bio; write that your notes are only to talk business/commissions or questions, write that (random notes) will be ignored. You can also ask peoples to fill a form when they first contact you. No form filled? No reply.

On my end, it helped. I make peoples understand that I don't want to loose time arround small talks.
Also, make up rules about ghosting and stuff like that, usualy when peoples do it it's because they feel like they'll have no consequences for this behavior.

I'll revisit and revise my TOS again my personal experience is that people don't read it, thanks though I'll see what need changed.

Personaly on my TOS, I write that when peoples contact me, they automaticaly agreed to thoeses terms.
You can also do a pre-written text with something like;

- Thank you for contacting me! + Then copy/past your forms or refers them to your tos from the start before you start any conversations.
Make them understand taht they most give you the info before anything else. So there's no small talks.
