2024
Like any year, it was a time of change. Since this time, last time, I’ve made an opportune effort for myself in exploring the pages of FurAffinity. And this time last time, I was only scared and petrified of what I was getting myself into. And even when I first began to post, I couldn’t shake a feeling of fear and uncertainty. I’m not sure how many people get into new things with such uncertainty but I was ambitious. But my ambition was met with only regret and guilt. About a couple weeks into the my new and improved page here, I was met quickly with harassment and embarrassment. I thought I had found a place where I could be myself, but quickly learned that I wouldn’t be able to do that without putting myself out there and trying harder. I had to truly disembark my prior hopes of quick success for a more hard earned path. It reminds me of a poem by the wonderful Robert Frost called “The Sound of the Trees”:

I wonder about the trees. 
Why do we wish to bear 
Forever the noise of these 
More than another noise 
So close to our dwelling place?
We suffer them by the day 
Till we lose all measure of pace, 
And fixity in our joys, 
And acquire a listening air. 
They are that that talks of going 
But never gets away; 
And that talks no less for knowing, 
As it grows wiser and older, 
That now it means to stay. 
My feet tug at the floor
And my head sways to my shoulder 
Sometimes when I watch trees sway, 
From the window or the door. 
I shall set forth for somewhere, 
I shall make the reckless choice
Some day when they are in voice 
And tossing so as to scare 
The white clouds over them on. 
I shall have less to say, 
But I shall be gone.

The poem highlights a feeling of complex emotions discovered by someone who can see life as it is but also a vision of life as it could be. And how easily it is to give up on what can be because the road looks too difficult, and settle in for the moments you’ve been given. But I couldn’t do that, it was clear I was not meant to settle. I was supposed to chase a feeling of freedom and happiness. So I looked, and I found myself interacting with many many people. Many of whom have watched me and have been so kind and supportive of my writing and other succeeding projects. Whether it be through art, writing, or general interests I met a vast amount of people and have had a great joy in watching many of these people become some of my closest friends in a lifetime.

And now they along with two other people have joined me in an amazing Discord server which I hope grows to accompany more amazing people like them.

I hope to meet many more in the new year. I hope that those who need someone in their life with positive energy and enthusiasm for embracing the new that the reach out and talk.

And speaking of embracing the new, it’s time for one last look at 2024 before I turn my head towards the sun of a brighter rising year.

In the month of December, I had the pleasure of getting to put out a little bit more. A couple of cherished commissions and still more that will find a spot in my 2025 catalog. I was also happy to finally showcase many of the outstanding characters that have been created for your guys’ entertainment this new year. I have many ideas and plans that I am excited to explore.

I am extremely grateful for all of the 213 watchers that I gained in the last year. And that goes with mentioning the wonderful watches of December.

Along with the plan to finish up Once Upon A Blue Moon, Partners, and Deepest Love. I hope to start a new set of short story series featuring the new characters that have been showcased.

Also in this new year, commission will open up soon and those will have information on my writing schedule, availability, slots, and prices with payment options.

Starting with this next Thursday Prompt instead of a once per two week goal, I hope to just participate in two of the Prompts every month and I will be utilizing my new characters in those stories.

In the new year I would like to become more efficient and skilled with my music production and have something to showcase in the coming months.

As far as art, I have some planned arts that have been commissioned that will be released soon. But I hope to collab with lots of friends to create more everlasting and memorable art pieces. But I also will open my character to be collabed with anyone, with respect for my character and my permission for my character’s use.

In this new year I’m also going to try and change up the layout of my page. New pfp, a banner image, and a more functional front page.

It’s time to say goodbye to the old, and welcome the new. I invite you into this new year, and hope that we can grow to be whole we need to be. It’s time to start our next chapter, and I am starting to write mine. This concludes a review of 2024 and happy outlook of 2025! Cheers to January 2025 and remember to always Howl and Hehe About!
