Is a graphics display tablet worth 3D modeling?

Trying to learn 3d modeling, and was hoping there were some tools that can help me learn faster and better. I don't want to use a mouse too much. And trying to learn blender.
Any artists, or know artists who used a graphics tablet? The ones that you can see on the screen, not the pen ones.

im fairly certain that all you need is a good full sized keyboard, a mouse and a regular drawing tablet for 3D modelling!
