It happened several days ago, so I've healed a little, but still mourning. My little buddy Rusty (yes I partially named him after my sona lol) passed away at the ripe age of 15 on Monday, December 30th, 2024. A few weeks prior or so, he'd started developing what seemed like dementia. He'd just freeze in place at times, and we'd have to carry him outside to go to the bathroom and such. On Monday the 30th my older sister took him to the vet, where the vet said he's really suffering and it might be best to... put him down. It didn't even come to that though, as on the car ride back home... he passed on his own. We buried him that same day.

I know I'll heal more over time, but I'll never forget that little booger. He was my buddy, and was always a little pig when it came to any kind of food. XD And my sister and I both swore that he could talk to you, especially after one day we asked "Do you love me?" and he honestly sounded like he went "Mmmhmmm!" His middle name "Puff" is because his previous owners named him that, before we took him in, so we kept it as his middle name.

At least I'll have the memory of him from here on out, and he isn't suffering anymore. RIP to my buddy Rusty and maybe someday I'll see you again when my time comes. Goodbye little buddy...
