It was a pleasant experience, having the queue online to see updated was good to see how it was progressing, google form was a easy way to collect info and contact folks.

Suppose the only other option I could think of to improve is having a folder/gallery of examples for archival purposes.

when you say folder/gallery, you mean here on FA or someplace else.

Deviantart has Sta.sh, which you can use to upload files into folder.
Dropbox could also work as a place to look through.
