Lessons learned and what awaits in 2025

After what's been an emotional rollercoaster as of last quarter of 2024 i have been thinking of what has happenned this year, and what the future holds for me as an artist and creator.
Let's start by addressing the elephant in the room: Hypnovember 2024. First of all don't panic, i do plan on contonuing with hypnovember going forward but some things have to be addressed. The way i've done hypnovember up until now has been based around a style that i developed in late 2021 as part of a limited palette challenge, it has since then gone through a lot of refining and become kind of synonimous with my artistic signature, and in part, seems to be more popular than my other styles. This has also resulted into me putting far more effort, time and detail into them, resulting in something that can hardly be adressed as a "sketching style" nowadays. These pieces will therefore be increasing in price as of the start of march, so keep that in mind if you plan to commission anything!
Then there's the fact that i STILL haven't completed the hypnovember 2024 backlog, blaming all of that on the increased detail would be irresponsible and a lie. Fact is that in case you haven't been keeping up with my social medias (discord, bluesky, etc.) Hypnovember started late, i was meant to be offering these commissions at the start of october, but decided to delay it in order to make an entry for the Further Hypnosis art contest ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/58670177/ ) that barely got any positive attention, i didn't even make it into the honorable mentions after putting around 40 hours of work into it? So i don't plan on participating in art contests going forward. Then in the middle of november my cat escaped at midnight and was found injured the following morning, we had to give her up for adoption because we couldn't keep up with the time or money it took to keep her healthy and happy. Theni had some family who decided to drop in to visit unannounced and stayed over for a few days AND THEN i found black. fucking. mold. behind my bed all over the brick wall, so i'm still dealing with that. I hope that beyond just me being slow at art, you can understand how these issues made everything far worse for my mental state. Thank you for your understanding.

Hopefully i'll be putting up more commission events up, i plan to be offering a couple YCHs for Macro March, to reach out to some artists in order to make April of Fools more of a thing (lets go clownfuckers!!! message me if you're interested!!) and more stuff as the year goes by. After all this is my only source of income and i'm coming to terms with the fact that I'm pretty much unemployable. Instead, if things go well, i'll be planning to take some steps into the world of gamedev! I already have some stuff laid out for a pathfinder 2e project, tho i'm considering turning it into its own independent thing. We'll see what comes of it!
