The goal for 2025
New year and it's time to do what everyone is doing, going to the gym for a day and then abandoning it as part of my New Year resolution.
But beside the gym trip, 2025 is the year I plan on taking my creative pursuit more seriously. 2024 was mainly dedicated to improving some of my gears, pay off all my bills and stabilize things as I work on saving up now that I'm in the green which allow me to actually do things I want to do in 2025. For 2025, I do want to actually get to work on the game I have planned for a while now and actually start coding again.
So once I'm done with the current January batch, I will start slowing down on the commission side. I won't be accepting 7-10 slots like I normally do and will just accept enough to pay my bills and some gaming spending so about 3-5 slots instead with open DM to reserve slots ahead of time so my schedule is more solid. This way, I can plan how to spend 2 to 3 weeks per month on my personal stuff and coding. Hopefully, there won't be any emergency that completely destroy this.
And as an idea, I might do some YCH as a way to test out some UI design. The winner isn't appearing in the game, it's just a YCH where you get what to what your characters will be like inside a game with info screen, combat sprite or visual novel scene, etc.
The year is just starting and I will have to adjust this plan as things happen but unlike the last few years, I will make it so that when I do get to show off my stuff, it won't be just another April fool joke.
