....Oh, Cana-duh
I wonder if there is anyone that actually believes that Trump would be able to start something with Canada, because there is NO way they would take it on their end!
And IF there was something...would it start like this:
Sheesh :p
And IF there was something...would it start like this:
Sheesh :p
And Pierre Poilievre is looking forward to working with him. Both economies will take off.
The whole damned planet needs it!
The second they try to MANDATE it, however?
:: ebil grins... ::
At what point is it finally going to *SNAP?!*
Seeing all those in such tax payer funded positions (Govt./Courts/Law Enfarcement) gleefully wipe their collectives asses with our Constitution/Bill of Rights, but worse to all, 'Personal Accountability,' is the root cause of all this rot, and until that is addressed and removed, and from that point forward all future participants held to a VERY TIGHT LINE of conduct/performance, I fear it's over.
I'm saying it now- The 'America' our Founding Fathers and all those who participated in creating, is dead. It actually died quite some time ago, but like that proverbial 'Death by a thousand cuts' (Or, boiling a frog concept), we allowed things to degenerate to where it is today.
I swear, I wish I hadn't lived so long to witness what's going on. It's depressing on so many levels, and it's going to take GENERATIONS of hard work/sacrifice to see it repaired, if that's even possible?
*sighs*
This is basic fascism psychology. The bullshittening is already happening. Between trans prisoners in Florida being forced to de-transition to facebook allowing sexism, homophobia, and transphobia to run rampant... They're asking for a revolution that will result in bloodshed. It's a dangerous game that American politicians are playing... But I'm just saying... A French politician dies, and everyone celebrates... A CEO dies... And everyone celebrates... The world is on fire... -w-... And people want to make 'jokes' about invading countries... So that when it does happen... It'll just be a joke...
-w-... I just want to cook good meals and enjoy life without worries of if I'm going to be killed because people outside of my control decided that I don't belong anymore...
But there are some things they should listen to what is said. Even if he doesn't follow through with it, he practically said that he wants to annex an allied country and a part of another allied country, the latter being a part of the EU with no regard to what the people there want.
Just saying it makes it clear that he cares neither for people, nor for democratic institutions.
And anyone thinking that another trade war will benefit the USA, I have a big business opportunity to offer selling fridges in Siberia, the Antarctic and the North Pole.
Have fun in the next 4 years, because I think they will be very unpleasant. For all of us, but mostly for the people in the USA. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I doubt I will.
As for worrying about the Canadian Govt. getting their knickers ruffled?
Not THIS American Citizen!
I have more than a few Canadian friends, and they, like many of my American friends, are fed up with all that is happening. I see it as 'anything' is possible.
Always remember that the French revolution began over a simple lack of bread.
*hugs...

Napoleon took over by marching his troops into parliament and announcing anyone there in ten minutes time would be shot.
Coup's are pretty much common place in the world.

You'd think our esteemed 'Leaders/Rulers' would've learned SOMETHING from History?
Alas,,, seems another tutorial is needed?!

AND he also ignores, that the King of UK is also basically "in charge" too, even if just for the commonwealth.
Scholz actually made a clear statement too about this, after talking to the other heads of the EU-states. We're just seeing in Europe that someone is trying to ignore boundaries and "invade" and"occupy" parts which haven't been theirs.
Nonetheless, like the others said: Trump is an real estate salesman and he still acts like this....
I do agree with you though. It's not as straightforward as he's making seem.
And if it's a stupid joke, its run its course and he can move on now.
I still don't get how he got elected.
And as a trans person, I'm especially tired of bigots being in power and trying to make my existence illegal.
Now that Trudeau has resigned, I'm just hoping we get a good liberal leader so Temu-Trump can be kept at bay.
Although even he said no way in hell Canada's becoming part of the states.
I wish I didn't live in a world where this is happening.
I wouldn't be surprised if Canada also getting into this direction, sadly.....
Where in fact it's other buerocracy that is hindering society and economy far more extremly than just basically a handful of trans-people if at all in a company.
In fact once the Selbstbestimmungsgesetz was out, the right-winged, even the CDU/CSU people (who are the "christian folks party" basically) claimed that now men would get into women WCs/Toilets, claim they'd identify as "female" and then rape the women.
They believe "back in the old days it was clear, just 2 genders: male and female" and they act like: "If we go back to that, the problem is solved easily."
As for the 2 genders thing- i forget sometimes that people still cling to grade school biology 😂 when I mention being intersex and not fitting in their binary boxes, they either block me or say i don't count cause i'm a freak.
The world is.... in a bad state all around now.
the current administration created a good "dole" for people who are jobless and won't get into a job that quickly - which is true because our economy ruined itself down because in fact it was the Merkel-Time and the low interest rates by ECB which pulled all the Zombies through, which are now dying off luckily - and it will continue like that for at least 2 more years.
Because of Merkel's CDU and the lobbyism for russian gas, we were clearly fucked when Russia cut off the gas and started the war, connected with Covid-crisis it was obvious this had to come to this end.
THe whole market cleaning is far overdue and I said this already in 2012!
Funningly enough, in economy we are using the same term: "Transition" - but the problem is: in the future work models won't look like that what we are used to now and we will clearly need something like a "basic dole" because many people won't be working full-time or in a long-term-contract anymore.
