Currently in an uncertain period as my mom and I had to evacuate due to the Eaton Fire still raging in California. We're having to stay at a hotel for another night and subsist mainly on what we brought from the apartment in our canvas bag: cracker packs and a couple small cans of Canada Dry. My cats are finally calmed down after a whole day of stress for them being lugged in their carriers and being dropped in a smaller, unfamiliar room. It's definitely not where I envisioned being a couple of days ago, assuming the winds would just pass by while we're cooped up inside and then things can just resume as normal.

I'm doing fine right now and I'm not asking for any financial support with this or anything. I just want to use this as a journal entry and muse on the situation, as well as extend sympathy to other Cali furs going through the same thing. Hope you're all doing well and that you've managed to find some safe lodgings during this frankly horrifying period of time.
