Definitely interested in a commission, Boosty can work.

What usually happens is a creator has a page like substar or patreon with a donate button, and people pay for commissions using said button. They get sent a link for verification and whatnot, though some bank cards will block Boosty cuz it's a bit suspicious sometimes. Your mileage may vary!

Ive used boosty before, im not sure if you can use paypal through there anymore but i usually use a card through there when i've comm'd a few artists before using the tip function. I think theres a way to set it up *similarly* to patreon with subscriptions, but you can also set up 'goals' that people can donate/pay for a comm through, or just outright use the tip feature for a one and done payment.
Thats how i remember it, havent used it in some time but im sure its still similar to that

I've paid a number of artists through Boosty, so I'd be game.

I've used it a bunch. It basically tells your credit cafs you're paying slash tipping a game service instead of paying for art. Can be a little finicky but hasn't caused me any issues. The only downside is you don't have a protected payment like paypal.

I'd love a chance to comm you, I don't know much about Boosty's inner workings but I've used it as a customer just fine a number of times.

Actually I did just remember something about it, on two occasions my credit card flagged the transactions and I had to speak to support in order to let them through.

I have issues with boosty and most of the time a pain in the ass, but I found work arounds to make it work if you do have to use boosty

Had some bad experiences with Boosty - especially my bank was not happy about it, since Boosty is used to circumvent embargos by some groups (so my bank blocks all transactions to Boosty, Hippolink and LavaTOP)

Boosty is alright site to use, it only accepts creditcards atm so which sadly makes it difficult for some people to commission you - mainly used by russian since paypal is blocked
Basically you do tiers like patron/substar, but also have an "donation" option

It really makes me sad cause a chance to work with you would be a godsend of a blessing. It can't be helped though. I know there are plenty of people who'll be glad to help and can actually help you out, but if ever another chance comes around, I'd be absolutely up for commissioning you.

Boosty's similar to paypal but you have to use card now. Paypal's the generally preferred method. I'd pay for a comm myself as well, your artstyle is amazing like all the others have said xD

I'm late to contribute but Boosty is essentially Russian paypal intended to get through the banking sanctions. It works akin to paypal, but most bank cards and paypal itself refuse to service boosty so it's only applicable as a last resort if you can't use other services like paypal, square, kofi, etc

You can still use it to charge for comms and such, but you will be locking out alot of potential customers due to card issues

Would love to apply for one eventually! Boosty doesn't accept PayPal anymore, so it's reliant on approved credit cards (mastercard etc) and foreign bank cards (usually RU ones).

Works fine when I want to support an artist that doesn't have access to conventional western methods.

I've used Boosty a fair bit! Price seems fair and I'm definitely interested! As for how it works, it's similar to paypal, but has less protections, and I don't believe it permits refunds.

It's like a mix of PayPal and patreon. You can donate directly and get rewards like patreon but lots of artists in russia just use it as a way to pay for comms

As a user of several services used by artists unable to leave That Country to bypass sanctions and make a living on art, I can say Boosty is not like PayPal) It's more like a Russian clone of Patreon, which also supports donations besides subscription tiers and purchasable posts, but, it takes Russian bank cards and international bank cards. Withdrawals should also be available to both. But there may be issues, such as "fraudulent transactions" from a client's side, where money may or may not be sent in reality. Anytime a client told me they got this error, I could confirm that it was actually sent. But I recently heard of only one case where payment to one composer I know has been denied entirely...
There are other similar services from the same company (I believe it used to be owned by VK, the Russian Facebook gone terribly bad, it'll take long explaining this), and operating through the same bank, such as DonationAlerts, similar to Streamlabs but forcing you to be live on YouTube or Twitch during the donation, or Hipolink... I don't know what to compare it to, it also provides paid posts and subscriptions like Boosty does, but does not share the same format, aiming at mobile users. Plus, Hipolink has introduced tips, and payment links, similar to PayPal's invoices "on low settings". None of these three support PayPal anymore, unfortunately... well, maybe Alerts does, I don't remember, but Boosty and Hipolink are card only for almost a year now. Same false fraud or denial issues apply.
And there's also Lava.Top, owned by a different company, operating through the same bank, therefore there may be the same issues with denials and false frauds, but, one, it supports PayPal as a payment option... however, two, it's a Gumroad-like service, so you cannot sell commissions there unless they are already finished, otherwise the post shall not pass moderation.

I used it all last year, very safe. Press donate and input card details, that's it.
