How do YOU like YCHs?
I have never been a big seller of YCH things, and right now is the first time in many years that I'm trying it out again. I've bought a couple YCH pieces in the past but not an incredible amount, are there specific types of YCHs you guys like? Do you prefer single or multi slot ones? Flat price or auction? Do you find single slots to be more intellectually valuable because of their exclusivity, or does it really matter that much? I'm cooking up some things on the back burner right now that I'm pretty excited for, and I want to offer them in a format that people like yanno?
As far as the pricing aspect goes, I think I want to keep it something like this: single slot, unique ychs can be priced like commissions and multi slot ones should be somewhat discounted from them. YCHs to me are the sale of a concept, and the pricing is how it is executed. A single slot ych can be a good option for someone who wants a commission but isn't sure what concept to go with, and because the art is still exclusive to them it can be treated like a regular commission. Idk this isn't actually that important I just think about stuff like this a lot

I personally don't care about "exclusivity", like my enjoyment of a commission won't be diminished by the idea of somebody else having it, but some artists in high demand seem to successfully be able to use the exclusive strategy to drive up prices in an auction format. I am just a random guy, but I suspect you need a pretty large following before hype drives your customer behaviour enough to make up for the lost income that you would get from getting paid for 3 or 4 identical YCH slots.
If there's one noticeable strength in your work you are pretty good at using text and dialogue to lay out scenes that are funny and go beyond the regular fetish pin-up level. This is a quality I really like in furry art so I hope you keep doing it, but I am personally less likely to consider a YCH with dialogue because I'll be like "My character wouldn't say that!!!". So I tend to look at russian-artist YCH's where you're paying for insane rendering and you can kind of just project your own personality onto the final result. I am sure that other potential YCH buyers have different taste, and for other people the idea of a complete scene with dialogue might be appealing.
single slot and auction ych's just kinda turn me away from the get-go in the majority of cases - unless it's a really niche concept or from a smaller artist, i find they get snatched up really quickly so my brain just kinda tunes them out for the most part.
