I totally understand not being comfortable with art of certain types. However if folks go on a ban crusade eventually it's always gonna end on what you like. I've never seen it just stop after hitting the "problem art" I always found it better for my sanity to block the tags and the artist if you really just can't see anything. I've lost a couple friends for being into graphic digestion and unwilling noms art. I wouldn't be surprised if folks are working towards getting that banned sadly.

FA is such a dumb website for not having blacklists, proper tagging system.
Another thing I don't like FA doing is squeezing every last drop of publicity for Dragoneer's gofundme page. They met their goal, and logically it shoulda fucking stopped there, but they made stupid excuses like "oh more money could help pay future bills and clear debts." That's just greed and manipulation

At least there is a blacklist now! And they said they plan to release a new tagging system rewritten from scratch later, this is a placeholder

Oh man, I forgot about that place. I gave it a few glances way back when, but I had no idea all that shit was going down. Guess I dodged a bullet there, but goddamn. I get, to a point, not wanting to promote certain topics, but their arguments sound so flimsy, it almost sounds like the old "vore is murder" bullshit all over again.

I've seen a lot of cancel culture and hate crusaders all over the place. I've stopped supporting and / or following several artists that I loved the work of because they decided to stop posting to sites other than Twitter / Bluesky.

I understand the "ew I think that's disgusting and wrong" perspective that a whole lot of people have on things they don't enjoy. I don't understand why they have to go on a crusade and use anything they can possibly use as a way to harm and go after people who like different things than them.

I've taken the stances of "You can enjoy anything you like, as long as it doesn't hurt a REAL person or otherwise living creature" and "If you're going on a hate crusade and activity attempting to harm them, you are worse than whatever group / person you are targeting. No exceptions"
I've had to cut several people out of my life because they claimed "If you don't want to kill or harm people I think are EVIL even if they don't ever hurt anyone, you're SUPPORTING that group!!!!"

I've been around enough to see that same loop over and over and over and over. I never bothered with that site when it came around because they started off by listening to the crusaders instead of standing their ground.

TLDR: I don't like cancel culture unless someone actually got harmed, and I dodged a bullet by not using that site when I saw it was listening to twitter users.

Thanks for the info. I was going through old account logins and forgot I ever had an account with FurryLife, so when I tried going to it the site was gone. Oh well.
