Oh my. I wish the best of luck for your friend. Certainly understand the stress of a huge bill, so I hope this GoFundMe helps her greatly. Glad to see it is doing lots to help her out already.

Tell her to ask for an itemized bill. Often bogusly huge bills suddenly shrink when asked for this.
