Quick Recap
As stated in my 2025 New-Year Update, I’ve organized my project workflow in a way that should help facilitate getting projects done. Specifically in regards to game development. Shorter simpler projects first. Bigger projects in the background/further down the queue.
As such I decided it would be a good idea to make more regular updates on my progress. Both for transparency purposes and for general content. Sucks working non-stop but having nothing I can really show off because it’s not ready.
But anyway, onto the update proper.
”Project Summer Camp” Update 0.000000000000000000000001
For now you can read more about the project in my 2025 New-Year Update. Still need a proper “About” to link to, but holding off until it’s further along and a bit more set in stone.
Art
Mostly working on character designs at the moment. Typical me.
Locking down style, proportions, outfits, etc. Not going nearly as hard as QooH with potential outfits, but there will certainly be a few. Varying levels of “normal” dress, plus their camp-uniforms as well.
With the exception of the twins, the main cast have all gotten extensive makeovers from those first 2019 designs; our resident creature especially. I’ve yet to get to the twins only because I’ve been mostly focusing on the narrative aspects.
Part of me wants to hold off on posting the updated designs until they’re a little more set in stone, but I also kinda want to post WIPs like I have with QooH. At the very least I’ll wait until the twins are properly updated, then start posting iterations.
Reminder that I post most WIPs on my socials. I typically only post WIPs to my galleries when they’re big updates or collages of multiple posts. Current socials/accounts are listed on my profile.
Writing
Like I said, focusing on this as a priority. I’ve got a rough 1st draft going of what will be the intro consisting of 3 “episodes”. A few scenes are placeholder “this happens,” some are full scenes with dialogue. Like I said, it’s all a rough 1st draft meant to give me something to work with.
Content wise it’s character introductions and initial premise. Who our characters are and why they’re here. Also, pending any major re-writes or shuffling around, we already have 2 skinny-dipping scenes AND our first spicy-scene all in the intro! So off to a good start.
At the moment though I’ve taken a step back from that to work on some of the backstory and “lore.” It’s a bit if a mystery story, so making sure there’s internal consistency between what happened then, what’s happening now, and what might happen later is important. Spoilers; magic’s a thing so I’m also making sure the internal logic of that system makes sense as well. What you can/can’t do.
That’s all for now. Slowing down a bit as I try and get some commission work done, but trying to dedicate and of the day/weekends to working on it at least. Like I said, probably won’t be month to month, but I’ll try and make more consistent posts about progress when I don’t have art-updates to post.
