I dont think it'd hurt to give it a try,

Trying and failing at first doesnt mean its the end, with time and practice you can get more used to it and maybe it'll be a better way for you to make renders in the long run.

Indecision won't do you any good, give it a try when you feel ready

Oh hey it's my second fan! I occasionally had these thoughts of trying out Blender, but as usual these are just simply thoughts as I don't follow suit with it. Maybe in the near future, I might actually install Blender and give it a try, but it's best if I get a hold of people who know how to use this program as opposed to me just walking in blindly. With Source Filmmaker, I haven't walked in blindly, videos tutorials and written guides definitely did help and the layout or UI of the program is not complicated compared to what I've seen of Blender. Either way, it's nice to see you! I have a couple of posters that are a WIP at the moment, but they're on hold currently and this pause won't be on for too long though.

Take all the time you need, there's no use in rushing especially when it comes to your art.
Just try your best and once you're comfortable switching to Blender then you can keep on improving your craft with time.
