On the 13th of January, my 81-year-old father went in for shoulder replacement surgery after damaging his rotator cuff. The good news is the surgery went fine and he's expected to make a full recovery. The bad news is that while he recovers, I once again have to take up all the household chores and tend to his needs, with zero help from the family because they apparently think I'm Jesus and can perform miracles. I spend most days so exhausted from cooking, cleaning, taking care of the furbabies, washing dishes (by hand, no dishwasher), and so on that I don't have the energy to do much other than play Marvel Rivals or watch YouTube and fall asleep.

I would like to write more but in addition to the exhaustive reality of being the only functioning adult in my house, I'm a slow typist, my desk is one of those terrible 2000s Ikea monstrosities with no legroom and a slide-out keyboard rest (meaning I have to lean forward and destroy my back to type), and typing for long periods gives me pain in my knuckles and fingers.  Spirit.Wolf. was able to churn out 7 pieces of art in less than a week, bless him, but I just couldn't keep up. So I'm thinking I'll post the pieces I haven't been able to write entire stories for and just summarize the context. Otherwise, it's just burning a hole in my hard drive.
