rip :( So this doesn't happen again in the future you can make a .bat file that automatically backs up your files to another location on your computer and have it run every so often or when certain requirements are met through task scheduler (or just activate it manually)

robocopy "D:\Projects" "E:\Projects Backup" /mir

^ i wrote that in notepad and just changed the file extension to .bat and it works for me. (first directory are files to be backed up and 2nd directory are backup target)

It's pretty rare for something like this to happen, so I usually back up all my art project files every two or three months.
But it always takes a long time to copy everything to my backup HDD, and it's hard to remember every file I've changed to back them up individually.

Robocopy definitely solved my problem and lets me back up my files more often and more efficiently. Thanks!

<3 I have robocopy work only on my active project files and have it work every time I open my computer, though I guess in the case of a corrupted file this would not help x)

Yeah, but if I had known this trick earlier, I could have backed up my files more often.
At least I could have gone back to an older version of my art project instead of starting it all over again. XP
