Sites I'm on right now
tl;dr: Bluesky for social media and random VRChat photos I'm not posting elsewhere, Itaku for videos and larger-effort VRChat comics that actually are edited, FA for audio and art and serving as a landing pad to stuff on other sites. Oh yeah and I guess tumblr is around too.
By which I mean, the sites I'm uploading things to and my logic with doing so. Wanted to make people aware of places and things and the logic of things, because the stuff I make doesn't fit neatly into one site or another.
First off, Twitter is dead, I'm pretty done with that. It functions as a backup of the video-plus-audio posts I've made, until I get around to reuploading all of that to a different site. Every time I go there, their algorithm shoves far-right talking points and politics down my throat, whether legitimately or because it's interaction bait, or it'll just full-on show fucked-up "how is this legal to post?" things like real footage of people shooting each other or whatnot. The vibes are horrendous. Go to bluesky, there is so much less bullshit it makes you realize just how much we had to put up with on twitter for way too long.
Right now, social-media-wise, I'm on bluesky. https://bsky.app/profile/jeschke.bsky.social . Follow that if you want vorny posts or random vrchat photos that I don't want to spam elsewhere. I do a lot of picture-taking in VRChat but posting a lot of "single shots devoid of context from one another" is a great way to clog up my gallery, so it gets tossed onto social media.
As far as art sites, I'd imagine I'll stick to itaku and FA for now. Itaku is https://itaku.ee/profile/jeschke .
Itaku because it has video support and I have videos, FA because it has audio support and I have audio. Itaku also functions as where I'll be putting any "larger edited" VRChat photos I do, because I don't want to spam up my FA here. What I'm imagining I'll probably do in the future is, I'll probably put some sort of "landing pad" submission on here that links to aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall of the other VRChat things I've posted on itaku, just so I'm not doing a bunch of submissions of 12 collections or whatnot. Then I'll make update posts about stuff I post over there and whatnot, delete them after a time, that sort of thing.
If I've got some video that's too big for itaku? Uuuuh....maybe it'll go on FN or Youtube? Audio too long to be in good quality on FA? I might put another version of it on weasyl of all things.
Also there's Tumblr too, I guess. I just post on there out of habit and cause I like sites with askboxes, just in case someone wants to throw a question in or something. And some other folks I know only really post there, so...
At the moment, I'm still slowly working on audio things for fun, taking vrchat photos, slowly going more into video editing, just like.........also very busy. This time of year can be overwhelming. If I'm not around as much for the next month it's because my life is hectic AF. Gonna try to keep plugging away at the backlog of commissioned art and all, just hard to work up the mood right at the moment. But yeah.
Alright byyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyye~~~~~~~*~*~*~*~*~*

I've already seen it hiding leftists posts in threads and Jack Dorsey was the internet's favorite punching bag before Elon bought his website, for good reason I might add.
But I'm glad to hear people are finally getting off original Twitter.
Also, im really glad you got out of twitter. Bluesky isnt perfect, but anything is better than x right now
