Or I'm just stupid and looking in the wrong place
Are you using regular or firestorm?
Did you want to try and hang out on there?

SL is still suffering from being slow, even on beefy hardware. Well, they still suffer from questionable decisions, like using JPEG2000 for texture compression and sticking to OpenGL. The performance got a bit better, but not by much, new visual effects (like accurate reflections) eat up that performance gain from optimisation. SL would gain a lot by switching to the Vulkan API.
I did find my partner there though. So I suppose it did its job right in that regard...
As for fluent English-speaking friends... I hate to be that loser, but I am kinda looking for more friends myself. Would love to put myself out there as an option c:
It's been chaotic time in the recent past for moving and job changes. You mentioning interest in books reminds me that I need to get back into reading two different book series.
You already got my email but should be kept to art only.
If you want to reach out and chat. I have discord available, can exchange photos of our cats since we have them.
I will say a lot of these though really do appear to be for job searches or for hooking up/meeting partners.
Discord or VRChat is also not a bad place to find people in communities that share you interests. Just got to be mindful and find a good place to inhabit.
You could also make your own community, discord or otherwise, build a community and make channels and the like for things that interest you.
Beyond that, you can always go searching around to find people on some social medias or online forums. Search around, find message boards, or communities that cater your interests and connect with people that way. You can also likely find... regional communities. Slowly get to know people, and maybe figure out ways to meet up and stuff.
Apologies if anything I've said is too forward. Wish you the best of luck. And if you wanna talk to some random on the interwebs, you're welcome to drop me a line on tg or disc.
