Nostalgia is a hell of a drug

Been on this deep dive into "what happened to Sally Acorn" for the last few weeks. And I have to say it:
Sonic's biggest problem is Sega.

Oh... oh Lanolin. I see it now. What others see, and scorn, within you. You poor, poor thing. You had such a bright potential... and they sent you in the foot steps left by THOSE blue boots. You were never going to get the screen time to be that whole of a character. You got forced to inherit the flawed leadership, but not its intensity. The naivety, but not the charm and station to justify it. The commanding attitude, but not the love and comradery with your team to back it up. You're all the bark, none of the heart. And you certainly don't have the time spent with the main cast to get them to trust you with their lives with only seconds to explain.
And I just don't think she's as cute as pre-reboot, or fan dressed post-reboot Sally. The outfit is practical as all getout. I can't dislike it. But I don't love it, either... I'm also just biased against barnyard animals.
