While she may not have meant for it to happen, this Clara/Denise was the source. All things considered, sounds like Crash let her off easy.
IMO, Crash would have been in his right to kill her. I understand her frustration with Crash as well, but she should forgive him and let go of the past. Of course, try telling that to an enraged minotaur.
