I'm back!
Hello everyone!
I've spent the past 3 days in a virtual writers convention. I learned a lot! Mainly at first I learned how Zoom works on Linux (Hint: only through it's android like app). But I did learn. The entire publishing process, so to speak. Well from the front end anyway. From the end of submitting query letters, to pitching to agents, to even doing advertising for your work before hand.
I also learned a bit about Author websites, E-mail lists and the like. There will be a few more classes that I will jump into tomorrow, then I'll start working again on my other things that I've been putting off. Namely, Life With A Werewolf, other furry writings. Perhaps even doing a sequel to my techno-distopian dome collection.
Namely, I've been trying to learn this entire ordeal.
My goal has been to keep a foot in both waters: a normie writing publication, and a furry one. (Perhaps pen names would be best for that...hmm...)
But ultimately to keep creating in both markets. It's strange how different this side of the public life can be. And how much of that life is honestly in our own hands, but we must put ourselves out there consistently, and steadily in the same areas doing the same things. I'm going to spend the next 3 months probably figuring out how I can talk about my writing without feeling like a used car salesman. I figure it'll take about that long for me to figure out how to use Facebook advertising.
