Idea Pitch: „Ratchet & Clank Meets Warhammer 40K

General
1) The Idea
Lately, I haven’t been able to shake off a completely absurd crossover idea. So, I’m sharing it here as inspiration – maybe someone finds it intriguing, or perhaps there’s even interest in collaborating to bring it to life.
What if Ratchet & Clank, along with Rivet & Kit, accidentally end up in the Warhammer 40K universe due to their dimension-traveling technology?
They would find themselves in a world dominated by totalitarian regimes, brutal xenophobia, and endless war. In a universe where every faction is either about absolute control or complete annihilation, the heroes are faced with a crucial question: Which side would they choose?
What if the team was forced to join a faction? Since they have always fought against dictatorship and oppression in their own universe, the forces of Chaos might seem like the best fit. After all, depending on interpretation, Chaos could be seen as a form of resistance against authoritarian control and oppression.
2) The Visual Concept
If the team were to succumb to Chaos, their entire aesthetic would change drastically. Their new design would be a brutal fusion of biomechanical mutation and chaotic war machinery:
- Armor fused with flesh, or at the very least, an asymmetrical, grotesque design covered in spikes, chains, and skull trophies.
- Mutated weapons and claws, infused with chaotic energy, brimming with spikes and unnatural, twisted shapes.
- The mark of Chaos burned into their bodies or armor, a symbol of their newfound allegiance.
- A dark, fanatical presence, echoing the iconic war cry:
"Death to the False Emperor!"
3) Why This Works
There’s one core element that both universes share: Absurdity.
In the Ratchet & Clank universe, it manifests in ridiculous weapons, over-the-top gadgets, and exaggerated enemies.
In Warhammer 40K, the absurdity lies within the extreme nature of its society, which always carries a satirical and nihilistic undertone.
So why not merge both?
This concept would serve as a bizarre yet brilliant parody.
4) Who Could Bring This Idea to Life?
I’d love to see this idea visualized as a rough sketch (with some color detailing), but I lack the artistic skills to create it myself.
If there are artists or designers interested in this project, I’d be happy to discuss the budget.
Anyone interested in bringing this concept to life – feel free to reach out!

About this crossover, your mind is not at the same level as mine, because 1 of my idea is the merging of "Halo", "Star Wars" (episode 1-6 chronology only of course), "Star Trek", "F.E.A.R.", "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic", "Team Fortress 2", some "Wolfenstein" elements, same for "XCOM and XCOM 2", all against "Warhammer Fantasy Dark Gods of Chaos". But yet, your idea is not that misplaced at all, because the Dimension-Travelling tech could actually drive them there, but yet I think they would only join the T'au Empire because of being (in appearance only) more tolerant, and also because Clank would not have to fear being dismantled by the Adeptus Mechanicus. I shall see if I could get the right models of Ratchet and Clank to see if I could do something in this taste on SFM.

That sounds like a really cool idea.
