The value for money spent, if you have a 40, 30, or even 20.. and arguably even 10 series card, is just not worth it. I am running a 1080Ti, and I have no complaints in its performance.. actually, I do. One. It draws too much power and my PSU can't handle it. The 1070 didn't overload my PSU.

That's it. I don't need ray tracers, tensor cores, AI thingamabobs.. Just a decent video card.
