I noticed a number of fur community are struggling because of the rise of
of the rise of gas, food, and etc. I going say few thing that might help
save a dollar or two. Believe me it does make a difference in the long
run.
1. Air conditioner - if you an A.c unit never set below 73*F because
The lower the temperature is set in the harder the unit has keep the room
Cooler. If you live in hotter places temperatures 77*F better setting.
2. Sun-blocking curtains - Invest in sun blocking curtains or really thick
ones that helps prevent sunlight entering a home. This help prevent
sunlight heating up a home. So knowing witch side of your home gets
The most sunlight is a must know to figure wear the curtains needs
to be p!aced. This also helps keeping house cool in summer time.
3. Grocery shopping - When grocery shopping for food you really do not
need to buy name brand . This be a example tuna in a can can be
anywhere from $1.50 up to $2.25 while bargain or store brand can tuna
could low as ยข75 to 1.00 so be shaving few cents to few dollars this
Saving money. Most name brand and value brand come from same place and only difference is labeling or packaging.
4. Gas - Shop for gas prices since no two gas stations have the same

5. Coupons - There is no shame in using a coupon if done right one can
save anywhere from $5 up to $80 if done correctly some can save up
Up to $100 on groceries .
6. Light bulbs - Using CFL and LED lights tends save you cash since they don't use as much power but getting same brightness. This from experience cfl do not turn on quickly if the room rhat really cold.
7. Computers - if you have multiple computers in your home even old ones
I suggest do research on Linux os that are similar to windows. This software
Is free and can be downloaded on multiple computers. Also download Wine
or one the Linux os has this will allow run most window made programs. Some can be gifted to
kid/ niece/nephew or family in need of a computer .Also do research some Linux os are made
for specific computer types also flathub show number apps,games for Linux that allow you
download need software and games so you personalize the computer. But do your research on Linux you want and apps you wish to use. Also there slight learning curve on how installing software so learn how to do it.
8 lawn- here a rhyme save gas ..... When grass is wet you go in debt. When
grass is dry it's easy as pie. Mainly mowing wet grass makes the mower work 2 to
3 times harder this using more gas or electric then when cutting it dry.. Also cutting wet grass grows faster then dry this .a and you be cutting grass days later. As well wet grass cling to undercarriage of mower this glunking up the mower ability to run.
9. Tv - there is digital broadcast one can receive on one tv, tho your going have to do
research since tv station range from 20 miles up to 120 miles away do some research on
tv antennas is a must. Also each station you get is any were from 3 up to 6 or 7 channels
This it sorta like having cable by free. Also faIr WARNING some new tv might not have
Digital tv tuner if it set up internet so you might have to buy Digtal tuner box or digital
to analog covertor tv box. Also some tv do have digital tuners but only last so long from use so buying a digital tuner will ensure you getting tv reception after it gives out allowing still use the same tv .This Also research what best digital tuner for your tv.
10. Cleaning filters and fans on a monthly period if you live area has lot dirt, pollen,
pollution, ect you might have do on 2 weekly period to keep them clean.
11. A can WD40 is a must a little stray to a fan shaft bring it back to life giving hopeful one
more year use out of it , also make doors stop squeaking.and loosen rusted items. This do be careful since some fans the way they built will not except spray WD40 or oil for electric motors some are actually built to stop working completely once it reaches a design limitations
12. Bar of soap- take a bar soap and run it against frame of the door and the door it self make it open a lot easier. This is old trick
13. Tool kit - you might say you never use it but it better have it then not have it since there has been time were having tool at hand save a headache.
14. Pantry - if you have funds and a space to form a pantry to helps not having go to store 3to 4 times a month start with cans and dry goods first these usually last good while.
15. Gas grill- if you live area get hot cooking outside prevents having heating up the home when cooking this means you're saving cash from not cooking inside the home and A.C. Working overtime trying cool it down. Also it wise buy two tanks so have reserve in case prices goes up.
16.stock up -if covid showed any thing it wise stock up have least .month to two month of reserve of items that a must need ( toilet paper,paper towels, dish liquid, bleach, washing liquid, fabric softener, trash bags, plastic bags sandwich to gallon size, ect) mainly this include the pantry.
17.solar lights- there are lots different solar lights on market from simple garden solar light to motion sensor lights to One you can put into a sher or a tree house or kiddy club..
18.dumpster diving - if your willing get dirty you be surprised what Some people will throw away. As faIr WARNING some place will not allow dumpster diver in there dumpsters even if goods still good. Also asking some places might be happy let do so . Business and schools tend get ride their old stuff so asking them before hand could help a lot . Also some store throw item s away not sold within month also know trash man time schedule core area dumpster dive at so you can be head time. It be advised get thick sole shoes and some heavy duty gloves and latex gloves as precaution since some dumpster are nasty and other are keeped clean somewhat.

19. Junk yard - like dumpster diving going to junkyards you find item for u se. Good example this is a large fileing cabinet on it back makes a great above ground garden bed. Pipes and fencing make great screening for bean and fruit to crawl up on. You salvage a lot you can find uses for any thing.
20. Gardening - if you are willing put work into it you grow you own vegetables and fruit but that depend what your growing zone is. This is also time consuming but if you put in the effort you get get your fruits and vegetables.
21.recipe books- form your own recipe book and divide up into breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts and work with what you can afford and what you can eat and so on.

Streaming services - their are few that are free like TUBI and crackle to my knowledge and other free streaming services are bit more iffy to find you got read fine print for example tubi free because of commercial s witch I do not mind. Since Netflix not getting any cheaper any time soon. Do you research on streaming services that free before using it.
23. Outside kitchen - this depend how much your willing to go and spend since some outside kitchen are decked out and other are simple . Main parts are gas grill with side burner, a small table ,sink ( Wal-Mart and few stores sell a table with sink and facet that can connect to a waterhose this be cheapest to buy. .) , lighting ( some foods take hours to cook) , extra tank or very large one, and some open air shelter so rain doesn't hit the grill and if screened keeps the bugs away. , some open kitchen have extra burners or oven some models are fro! Rv /cast models. ( Summer advice)
24. Cleaning ceilings fan used for winter . First cleaning then putting can speed on low setting this way the air is moved that heated but not effect has heaters.
25. Invest into some sort of back up power.... Reason for this is for blackout, natural disasters, even doing something that off the grid. A gas generator is a good investment. Mainly home generators like generac are not cheap but the can run on natural gas . But recent years newer power system is like self contained power systems that hook solar panels, wind generator, even small water generators. The two companies to look into is Ecoflow, and 4patriots.com if you wish to go motor -less to cut out noise pollution. This (ecoflow ) system could be used for off grid activities like outdoor theater or power to a Cabin or kids tree house ( If built really well).
26 . if you have drainage system in you area ( city/towns village) it i s wise to actually walk where drainage goes . There a reason for this more time then not trash and stuff dumped in area not seen usually causes blockage and flooding. Usually city and towns are suppose to keep these clean . But lately neighborhood have been doing it them selves since it takes months get it done or never at all because of red tape or budgets. So checking your drainage help prevent possible flooding in your future.
27. Invest in a good radio- mainly it free music . Also making a list of stations that you like helps narrow down the stations to listen to.
28. Invest in a weather radio - these little radio are a life saver when there ( tornado/hurricane/ storm/ or any other area emergency is happening in the area(
29 recycle,reduce, reuse - if people and stores throw stuff away if something scratched up or has dent/ banged up. Mainly some furniture can be saved if people do little hard work into it you be surprised what you can do. For example those glass screen doors could be used for a miniature green house to expand growing season for some plants. Mainly a lot be used with a little ingenuity.
30. metv - If you get metv in your local area call in to that station and ask for MeTv toons this channel plays old cartoons from the past . This you got have a number people to call in for them add this channel to broadcast. It sorta like poor man's cartoon network. , shows they have includes the real Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice, Looney tunes, the mask, the smurfs, inspector gadget, police academy animated series, wacky races, underdog, Freakazokd, Gobot, 2 stupid dogs, Duck Dodgers, Alf, Alf tales, Too Cat, Tom and Jerry, those just naming a few .
31. Roofs - If you have a black tar roof or roof that black try painting or color it white this actually lower the temperature. This simple change will drop the temp degree or two witch can help make roof less hot and lower the temperature around the area tiny bit.
