Hi hi sweetie treats (^. .^) hope you are all keeping well and have been getting up to all sorts of scrumptious and squirmy shenanigans.
In a few days this very very squishy dragon is embarking on another real push to bring my weight down, at first doing a crash style fad diet to take off a fair chunk quickly and then transitioning into a proper sustainable change of better exercise and better eating/portions for the long run (well that's the goal and plan at least!).
So I was pondering around motivation and encouragement - Right now I have plenty but I know as soon as clothes start to fit better, tasks get a little easier and the uncomfy feeling goes that can vanish faster than one of you willing yumyums near my lips XD
So I was curious if you sweeties had any suggestions for some positive reinforcement I could try to keep the momentum going and rolling in the right direction. Maybe tactics or methods you have used to help get you through a long term plan, task or goal? Maybe something fun I could do or get to reward myself with at milestones? Or ways to reflect on my progress and use that to help?
Well and if any of you adorable snackable sweeties also want to offer yourself up as a milestone reward I will be sure to find you a cosy spot under my scales for when I reach that goal and get to claim you for a treat tehe XD
Best of wishes to all, do me a favour and do something relaxing or enjoyable just for yourself today as a treat (^. .^) you deserve it

*dont know if 20-30 pounds or kg would be alot*
I'd maybe have spreadsheet each month if doing same exercises to track improvement. Always nice seeing say could only do 5 push ups and now doing 10 consistently :D
Continue being a sweetheart and don't be afraid to poke peeps sometimes they could also have insight you might not! you got this and good luck!
I personally do Saitama's workout. xD
Best workout ever, I can eat whatever the hell I want and not gain so much as a gram. xD
(Slight change of going bald though. xD)
A good drive to do what you want to.
If it's just because other people are telling you to do so, then it's not good enough, you need to have a reason of your own to get your willpower going.
We love you either way, honey, you should only do it out of your own free choice and NOT from fear or insecurity.
Just sayin'. :)
and good news, as long as you don't end up my belly, I can still enjoy you in many fun naughty ways and not gain weight
And dont forget to treat yourself from time to time! if you need to i wouldnt mind being your tasty treat!
Good luck you can do this!!
when you wake up start with "I will do 'x' for myself" not in a pedantic way, make it your dayly goal to repeat, pre morning priming is a start,
Secondly, Start looking at what your'e eating, lotta carbs liek bread, and potato, or something? snak-ies whiel at work? maybe less?, i assume you already do a lot of outdoorsy stuff liek walkign and biking, whatabout lifting and such? the first step is the hardest, cause you want to make it count, stick with an 80% limit, if youre 80% sure it will work, then Do it, dont wait for the perfect 100% gurantee, atleast if you make a mistake with the 80% sure thing you can correct on the next step and go further.
Also Karyn and I were talking about you the other day, wondering how you are and what you have been up to, we hope you are well!
I started to take walks on my 15 minute breaks at work, built in a set of quick reps with variety that I can do when I'm waiting for something in the microwave, and started being mindful of the portions I'm eating.
I work from home and wanted to be able to stay active, so I chose to use my breaks to walk so I could physically get away from the work and exercise at the same time. Because I have 30 minutes for lunch, I also use the microwave at least 5 times a week. This gives me a good 4 to 6 minutes on a regular basis where I'm not doing anything but waiting, so I started to squeeze in some no-equipment exercises (push ups, squats, high-knees, etc.) while I wait for my food to finish.
As for the diet, the two biggest changes I made was intentionally eating less than I needed to feel full and counting how many grams of added sugar I eat. The smaller portions helped over time because I didn't need as much to feel satisfied. The reduced sugar also helped with this because I noticed that eating sugar made me feel hungrier faster after cutting back. I remember reading somewhere that the safe level for sugars is something like 1% of your daily calories, and my goal was 3000 calories or less (so no more than 30 grams of sugar). I've been happy with the results because I still get to enjoy a lot of sweet treats, and only had to cut out two or three things (soda being one of them, but I don't really miss it).
I lost at least 40 pounds after doing this for about a month, and while I'm still not at a "good BMI ratio," I'm comfortable with my weight now and honestly feel great. I don't know how much this'll help, but I hope it at least gives you some good ideas on where to start!
Thanks again and well done (^. .^)
Knowing from experience:
1. Do something everyday
2. Get your stretches in
3. Vary it up. Don't do the same exercise everyday.
4. Have your friends keep you accountable.
5. Start low and work your way upwards. Make sure to do the exercise right before you try to do it hard.
6. Keep your snacks in the portion of the house that is furthest away from where you spend the most time.
7. If your work offers any assistance/equipment for the sake of exercise, take it and use it.
8. If 7. doesn't apply, there are plenty of exercises you can do without equipment.
9. If an initial exercise feels too hard, try to find a way to do it easier. (pushups against the wall, pushups with your knees on the ground etc.)
10. If possible, do your exercise so early as to get it done before dinner, or alternatively, before the first shower of the day.
11.Daily chores can be an effective way to warm up or get something done. Vaccuuming for instance.
12. Wear your exercise clothing to work, that way you can workout afterwards and save on laundry.
13. Do something while exercising that is entertaining. (Watching a movie while doing situps or cycling on a stationary bike.)
Thoughts:
The money you save on food can be used to do fun stuff, like going to cons.
The exercise you do now will save you doctor money in the future.
If you do 30 days of exercise, I'll draw you a freebie.
mmhmmm gotta build in that routine ,l lock it in with accountability but also be reasonable in my expectations and goals
wish me luck sweetie and keep up the great stuff
The workout part is a struggle to stay dedicated to, ngl. I tried to find a cardio-heavy activity that I enjoy doing. That was martial arts for me, but then it became too expensive to keep up going to the group sessions I was part of... so I resorted to a treat instead---if I worked out that day, then I can increase my carb limit for that day just a little.
Good luck :D
I'd say if you plan to do hardcore diet and then transition to something sustainable, the transition phase can be tricky, so plan on doing that really gradual while controlling the results.
Godd luck, hope everything goes as planned.
