So this is a funny one that I have no idea how to handle.
If someone gives you the rights to a character then deletes the conversation, blocks you from contact and changes their entire online identity to leave that character behind as if they never existed, does the granting of ownership still stand? With a screenshot of the message taken from an offline version of the conversation?

There are various reason behind that such as family finding out, someone not being happy about them being a furry, becoming very religious or someone at work watch every accounts of workers on social media, even here.
As sudden and strange it may be, the character is yours now and you can provide screenshots as evidence if the former owner comes back and says it was just a prank or an attempt making you look bad by being a "thief".
