A Speech for Dragoneer's Memorial
Good Afternoon Everyone. My name is Jadi, but you may know me as Hoshi Kaynyne, and if you haven't found me on Furaffinity, that might be because I had just created my account a few months ago.
I've only crossed paths with Dragoneer a few times, at FAU in 2019 and I think 2020 here at Fur The More. I will say made a few mistakes. My first being at Will it blend, to which I witnessed him take on the forces of whatever evil lied in that pitcher. It was when I contributed and when the tofu went in when I realized, " *chuckles* Mistakes we made."
He was also at Match game where he was the panel and I was the contestant. At the time, my mind drew blanks, and gave some answers that, uh... Felt like I was experiencing the definition of embarrassment.
And the moment at charity auction, where some items up for grabs were building block toys with a name that needed more censorship. And a box of ramen noodles, which was a call back to a shenanigan... And I'd like to apologies for the noodles.
But no matter what happened, his response were two things, and two thing only... A smile and a laugh... Something we're all feeling... Something we're all cherishing... A moment to feel safe together, belonging together, accepted, wanted, and loved... My biggest mistake was how brief our encounters were, but I've always been a firm believer that he still resides with us as long as we remember all the precious moments, the memorable changes made, and the impact that left a mark in all of us to remember him moving onward. So I ask for us all, to keep finding joy in the littlest of things as it's what nourished as big of a heart he shared with us.
