EDIT: Poll form here! Go pokeit.
I am still addled from painkillers and kidney stone, but here are story ideas. You can declare in the comments which ones tickle you, or suggest ideas you might be interested in.
Still vaguely planning to set up a patreon style thing, but that should wait until I'm not medicated.
* (Don't) Look Outside - Based on the body horror tf game that came out(great art, really cool if you like body horror); something in the sky is mutating people who look at it. People trapped inside deal with the changes and the people changed around them.
My version is less Unending Agony from changing, and more that The Visitor sees all this emotional trouble and people screaming about its appearance, and wants to make things better. Alas, the only way it can is by changing people, and so it changes them in a way that solves their immediate problem, while leaving the permanent transformation as an entirely new, much longer term problem. Your food poisoning is cured by turning into a super healthy goat person! Now you just have to deal with being a goat person.
* Princess Sitting - The kingdom is conquered, and the warlord is in charge. Now the warlord's champion must keep the captured princess safe, so she can be used as a bargaining chip. He... is not good with children, and is ill at ease. But she shows him kindness and or helps him turn into a friendly dragon, while making the warlord into a dumb reptilian warbeast.
* Retail - A retail worker, at their wits end, starts turning into a blissed out dog girl. Their coworkers quickly get on board with this idea, even as the manager insists they get back to work and stop turning him into a slutty pig girl.
* Drone Survival 2 - Exploring the mutant infested town and rescuing people(to turn into drones, of course).
* Chaperone - A chaperone on a field trip to a (happy wholesome) Pleasure Island analogue learns to get in touch with their inner child and/or feral animal.
* Perchance 2 Wake chapter 14 - Combat training, and a deep discussion of the magical mechanics of combat spells, projectile spells, and how to fight like a Dreamer. Pew pew worldbuilding!
So yeah, which ones tickle your fancy? Any themes/ideas you'd like to see that aren't shown here? Thanks for sticking around and enjoying the words!

* The scared person trying to hide from the light as they cross a hallway that's not entirely covered off, slowly slipping into the form of a small mouse girl, tightly bundled in figure hiding clothing. everything their mind associates with feeling small, of hiding from the outside, of a beautiful interior person that needs to be kept safe
* Someone in a room of pets, not wanting to face the monsters outside, slowly becomes a pet themselves, because that's where they're most comfortable
* Someone who insists on facing the visitor head on, of being stalwart and never backing down, heads out onto the roof. they are a gargoyle in short order, succeeding in their desires but not their quest
* An art monster doesn't know how to make you less existentially afraid, but they can paint you into a form that isn't worried about that sort of thing. would... would you like that?
* A mad librarian who extolls the virtues of believing in stories, of children's books and fantastic tales where everything works out in the end... before showing you a projected image of the visitor, turning you into a book that they can put on the shelf and occasionally read
* Dragon I'm tended to go one of two routes. either it's someone who's afraid that with all the changes happening, soon there will be dragons swooping over the horizon pillaging and burning(they saw it in a movie or three). Why can't they just have a nice dragon? their change is to be a much nicer, friendly sort of dragon(but still awkwardly large for the inside of the building)
* Alternately someone who insists they are going to hide inside forever away from the big world and just make like a survival den full of stuff, accidentally exposed to the outside. they turn into a very, very tiny little dragon that fits well inside, and now has lots of room to explore and wander about their "castle". I'm thinking like smaller than kobold sized
* Someone who was sunbathing on the roof when the visitor arrived, basking in the rays and absorbing all that sunlight... now they are a wonderful solar panel who never needs anything else
* Person who insists on fleeing town. they'll just keep walking. they'll just keep rolling. they'll just keep driving. hey there you want a lift? huh. I guess I am a car. Was too caught up in the trip to notice.
* Lonely person who wishes they could find love splits into two (furry) versions of themselves. I'd tend towards male/female, each wondering which half they fell out as, but you could totally go for gay, lesbian, null cuddles
* There's definitely room for a fleshcrafter, trying to get better at their craft(they've only had it since this morning!). massage therapist?
I think the general mood I pondered was that The Visitor just changes people awkwardly, and any the horror tf is caused by humans who have changed and gotten the power to change others. Changes from The Visitor involve people shifting into their own subconscious concepts of how their problem might be solved, what they associate with the solution. Food poisoning == goat person with slight antacid associations.
Im just not very creative I guess.
But yeah, if there were only one context where I could really use a cat's Ultimate Relaxation Powers, it'd definitely be the 9-5.
