As the sun rises , light shining through broken yet, beautiful stained glass windows. A gray figure with cracks and moss covering them moves with life. Looking around the wonder why and how they came to be. They were but a statue what seems to be not that long ago... well what the creature think was not long ago. Everything they knew about the building that surrounds them has crumbled into shambles. The only things standing are just a few windows and, the center of the room.
Trying to remember things about their past all they can think of is a blurred face of their now long gone partner. What had happened to them? Were they still okay? Were they still even alive? Who knows, the moss covered creature stands from the pedestal they were sitting on. Light slowly shining through the holes in the roof of the building. A single beam shining on what seems to be a large cross. The creature draws out an eye hidden deep inside them.
Looking around they turn their head slightly to see a door hanging off the hinges. The creature slowly walking towards it, stumbling a few times as they have forgotten how to walk. Before leaving the creature stops. They couldn't even remember their name. Why were they leaving? What was the point if they can't remember such simple things. The creature shook its head and took a breath. Taking a step out into the blinding light. Hiding its eye in its mouth to shade it from the light. It took a few "blinks" to get used to it. The land it was on was overgrown with all different kinds of vines, weeds and gorgeous flowers. It turned around to see the state of the building. Though it was in the shambles it was in, the foliage covering it made it more beautiful.
Off to the side of the building the creature saw a glimmer of something on the ground. Walking towards what the glimmering was it noticed that it was a sign. Did it fall from the building? Who knows. The gray moss covered figure picked up the sign and wiped it off. The sign read "Citadel." Was that the creatures name? Maybe! They liked the tune of it. They put down the sign and looked up to the sky. Maybe all these signs were telling citadel to move on with life and make a new one. I mean he couldn't remember who, when, why or how they came to be so, starting a new life could be for the better. Maybe on his journey he would find that blurry faced friend again. Lover perhaps? He dosent quite know but, all he knows is that this is the start of his new life. Walking towards the woods he tool a final glance at the home and disappeared.
A few hours go by or, at least citadel thinks. They can't really tell as the forest was dense. Some light shown through the thick tree tops but, it was mostly dark. Walking further and further they stop. Ears twitching. Was the creature hearing speaking?! Citadel point their ears in the direction and starts running. The further they ran the noise got louder and louder. All of a sudden there was an arch of light. And the closer they got the sound alos got louder. Finally they burst through the trees, more moss covering then along with some straggling leaves. There standing in the light were... more creatures like him! And some others that he can't quite remember seeing. They have been stuck in an abandoned building for so long. He looks around noticing the other cccats were still staring. Citadel waved their hand and the creatures all went on with their lives. Citadel found a bench to sit on. What they will do next they don't know but they know one thing. To search the highs and lows of Skire to find their partner.
