Hello friends!
This month has been quite a let's say intresting, for lack of a better term. The pieces feel into place and we were finally able to release episode 6, episode 7's production kicked is already on a heavy roll and i went from being as nervous and shaky as a leaf on a tree to relieved and happy as hell. What the hell do i mean by all that?
Well let's get into it! Basically while I had already finished Animation for ep6 very early into last month the remaining pieces i needed were the musical score and the songs for Maxine's performance and the montage scene. So i had a couple of weeks to relax, recuperate to let the burn out fade away and even have fun designing few outfits for ep7. Then obviously once I got the music and songs everything was edited in and I touched up the episode before uploading it and releasing it for you all to enjoy. I was going to release it on april 1st as a joke to make people wonder if it was a real episode but with the serious tone of the episode and the emotional subject matter it was decided early on "no when it's done we will pick a better time" and thus we had it release this past Thursday.
I won't lie my small team, myself and even Vicky's actress were nervous about the episode with all the work we put into it and given the more serious/emotional tone i was especially nervous. Because as i stated in the past I never took any writing classes, went to film school or any of that stuff! So for me this was a sorta tip toe into the water moment sorta speak because all I had written so far was comedy with serious moments sprinkled in. I didn't know if trying to do a more emotional and serious tone in a episode would work or blow up in my face. But you guys actually enjoyed it! My cast and crew have not stopped looking at reading your kind comments, your theories and discussions about the episode. It has seriously meant alot to us all and I cannot say enough kind words to thank you all for your love and support for this show, it's world and it's characters.
Now then what's the news on episode 7 the big season finale aka the "Best friends day out" episode? Well to start us off i cannot say when it will come out as i don't like to set release dates to rush my work. I can guess that if all goes well you can exspect it possibly early this fall perhaps? It's hard to say because unlike the other episodes this one will have a longer runtime (clocking in at around one hour), it has emotional and heart felt moments, a big fight with a frog man, mark and maaaybe a certain giant wolf? And on top of all that it will be answering a few questions about mark and his past as to why he is how he is, it will show us some parts of maxine's past and alot more. So as you can probably imagine that's a tall order for 1 animator and a small indie team of voice actors, music composers and a couple addional artists. So please just continue to be patient friends trust me, once we get further along into development then we will have a better idea if a release time but it's gonna be a while 😅
In the meantime i would like to say offically I can confirm yes you will see what happened to Mark and why he appeared the way he did in ep6's ending and no it was NOT Maxine who did it however she WAS there when it happened. You will also see the aftermath of when he returns home annnd some other stuff but I can't tell you how many people have asked that since episode 6 released and i wanted to make sure everyone knew. Guess this part goes without saying but for those who were curious yes max will return in episode 7 more than just a cameo it's gonna revolve around mark and her as well as the other friends along for their "Best friends day out" adventure. I hope this anwsers some of your questions and concerns friends.
So before i wrap this up I would like to say thank you to everyone of you for your love and support for our silly little demon show. I know it's not perfect, it's animation could be better and the story could be written better too but the fact that you all continue to support it and cheer it on despite those flaws and those errors means more to me and my small team than anything in the world. So again thank you all so much I love you guys ! I will leave this off and say I hope you all had a decent march and I hope we can all have another decent month ahead.
