Hey there everyone !
Another monthly update for ya'll! So I'm not gonna lie I'm currently still sorta shocked people liked the season one finale as much as they did. I've had the ending twist with heather, the max trapped in hell and mark emotionally breaking thing planned for so long that after seeing people comfortable with how the characters were i kept telling myself "you gotta plan to end this show just in case. cause once the stakes are raised in the show ALOT of people might hate that". So i kept telling myself not to get hopes up and to be ready to call it quits if people didnt like it.
Then you all turned around and liked the more emotional writing, the jokes qnd the more serious moments. To the point where yes I am currently planning on doing a second season after ive had a break. HOWEVER! there will be some changes moving forward, some characters designs maybe changed to be less like the characters whom inspired their creation. Other characters will have a change in appearance simply because of injuries sustained during the big season one finale. There will also be a change in animation, backgrounds and such because I want to test stuff ya know? I want to try new angles, different frame rates and such. I also want to try and have backgrounds and over all look be more consistent as it bugs me that some of the scenery like in ep2 for instance doesnt match with the characters and their art style. So time will be taken to reign that in and make everything consistent.
I also wanna take time to gather feed back on all the complaints and comments ive recieved so far on my work so I can see how I can improve the writing and over arching story for the show moving forward. As well as take time to review scripts to make sure jokes work and all that jazz.
Regardless of all of this I wanted to say thank you all for your kind words and support for my silly little show it has truly meant the world to me and the crew! I know also I planned to shut down this patreon page while im on break and testing shit but ALOT of new people joined since the season finale dropped. So now if I do that im gonna feel like a asshole. i am probably going to be sharing some concept art and tests moving forward as well as the once a month update. Maybe even do some sketches, prompts or shorts here and there when and where I want to just for fun ya know that sorta thing!
Basically in summary! More madtown is coming but first I need time to rest, plan and all that. The story of M and M, vicky, charlie, junior and the war for the world isnt over...the funs just getting started 😈.
Side note: i have also debated doing commentary tracks for the episodes of season 1 where I just give you guys behind the scenes facts and stuff while I watch the episode maybe. That or a Q and A ! I havent really thought it out yet to be honest. But do let me know what you all think! And again thank you all so so much!
