ROJO's right eye! - Updates.
Yesterday we went to the hospital with Rojo, our cat with injured eye.
And discovered: A very large eye ulcer is causing a lot of pain. (ON the attached photo, all the green field on the eye is the ulcered zone!)
They prescribed medication for the injured eye and 15 days of treatment before returning to the clinic. Rojo is sad and wearing a cap again... At the moment, surgery is not required, but we don't know what to expect... Currently, the medication is for feline herpesvirus. This scares us.
Neither the vets know WHY exactly these things are happening to his eyes!
As of yesterday, the expenses were modest, without surgery. 70 euros including eye drops and gel.
I want to thank all the people who helped us, supported in comments and donated for Rojo. This help is essential to keep healing his eyes, now the right one, but I am afraid about the left, too.
Thank you all and I will attach his photos and receipt from the vet in a link!

Think of this: Your cat will be just as metal as Thrasher!
I think what was discovered yesterday is better, at least short term, than needing surgery. Hopefully the medication he's receiving will clear up the ulcer and he will have no further problems. The largest concern is what's causing the ulcer... and the unknown is scary.
It would be very harrowing if Rojo ended up blind because of this. But, in this regard, I agree with Archteryx. Cats fare very well when blind, and it's better he end up blind than... well, deceased.
Animals are very adaptable. They don't angst about what once was. To them being blind is normal, like it was always that way.
